ACB Dance Company

ACB Dance Company is a classically based modern dance company exploring the universal human condition through expansive and emotionally driven movement grounded in American modern dance. The healing and transformational power of the arts inspires the company to work with diverse groups within the community, in addition to collaborating with other artists. Artistic director, Alison Cook Beatty’s choreography has been commissioned by companies such as Ballet Next and her work has been performed at The Joyce Theatre, The 92nd Street Y, and Kaatsbaan. As well as, Carolina Ballet Theatre, Columbia Ballet Collaborative, The Joffrey Ballet NYC, New York University and Opera Dolche have commissioned her work. ACB Dance Company has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The 92nd Street Y, The Schermerhorn Theatre, SUNY Purchase, The Ailey Citigroup Theatre, Manlius Pebble Hill School, The Hartt School, Harvard University, Milford Fine Arts Council and numerous festivals throughout the east coast.

Ms. Beatty founded ACB Dance Company in 2012. She danced with The Paul Taylor Dance Company and Taylor 2 from 2002-2008. She has worked with numerous dance companies and choreographers such as David Dorfman Dance, Infinity Dance Theatre, Milton Myers, Gabriela Poler-Buzali (current Executive Director of The Jose Limon Dance Company), ZviDance, Carolina Ballet Theatre, Ballet Verite, Thang Dao Dance Company, Trainor Dance, C. Eule Dance, Amy Marshall Dance Company and Morales Dance.
