Anne Carson and Gabriel Kahane

Anne Carson was born in Canada and teaches Ancient Greek for a living.

Gabriel Kahane is a singer, songwriter and composer whose works have been commissioned and presented by, among others, Carnegie Hall, Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and the Public Theater. He has performed and/or recorded with artists ranging from Blake Mills and Sufjan Stevens to Rufus Wainwright and Chris Thile, frontman of Punch Brothers, for whom Kahane opened on tour this spring throughout the United States. His latest album, The Ambassador, is an exploration of film, fiction, architecture and history in Los Angeles through the lens of ten street addresses. He lives in Brooklyn.
