Kirsten Schnittker is a dance-maker and performer based in Brooklyn. Since graduating from Barnard College, Kirsten has shown her work throughout New York City with AUNTS, RoofTop Dance, REHEARSAL, Dance New Amsterdam, Green Space and Movement Research.  She was a 2012 UPSTART Artist at Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX). Her work was most recently shown at the Center for Performance Research (CPR) as part of Spring Movement festival in May 2013. As a performer, Kirsten has previously worked with Renée Archibald, Juliana May, Brian Brooks, Bill Young, Tara Aisha Willis and the A.O. Movement Collective. She has worked with Yanira Castro | a canary torsi since 2011 performing in Paradis andNancy, and touring with The People to Come as the project’s archivist. Her work as archivist for The People to Come continues this December at the New Museum where she will be live archiving the final dances performed at The Invisible Dog Art Center last June.
