OCA Dance/Kennyth Montes de Oca

OCA is making Afro-Latinx movement, history, and tradition relevant in American contemporary dance with a community of multicultural artists and collaborators from various disciplines.

Kennyth Montes de Oca is a Dominican artist born with a radiating love and connection to dance. He began OCA, a contemporary dance company highlighting multicultural artists, intending to share that driving passion with others. OCA aims to create a space for engaging stories to emerge on stage. By utilizing movement as vocabulary, the group of intellectual and talented artists works in sync to collectively share one voice.

As an emerging choreographer, Kennyth’s goal is to dive deeper into movement research and exploration while tying knowledge from his Afro-Caribbean heritage with his experience in American concert dance.
