Artist Statement and/or Bio:
Trina Mannino is a choreographer, performer and writer living in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Her dances have been shared at Arc Pasadena, The Cankarjev Dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Center for Performance Research, The Detroit City Dance Festival at the Detroit Institute of Art, The Estrogenius Festival at the Kraine Theater, Pieter, and Triskelion Arts, among others as a solo choreographer and as a co-choreographer with ArtBark International, a multigenerational performing arts collective. She is a 2018 Brooklyn Arts Council grant recipient.
As a performer, Trina has danced with ArtBark International, Donna Costello, Barbara Mahler, Laura Peterson, JoAnna Mendl-Shaw, and Leyya Tawil, among others. She presently studies under Ernesta Corvino, Barbara Mahler and Janet Panetta. Her writing has appeared in Atlas Obscura, Brooklyn Rail, Dance Europe Magazine, The Dance Enthusiast, and Vice. www.trinamannino.com
