New York Times Unveils “Live Ideas”
Today The New York Times exclusively announced the launch of Live Ideas, our newest annual initiative that will concentrate on a different theme each year, explored through conversation and artistic presentations over several days.
The first Live Ideas is themed The Worlds of Oliver Sacks, and it will take place Wednesday, April 17 through Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Live Arts. The festival, spanning five days, will explore the themes prevalent in the work of Oliver Sacks, acclaimed neurologist and celebrated author of numerous best-selling books.
“‘Perhaps more than anyone in recent history, Dr. Sacks has contributed to our growing understanding of the role of creative expression within the mind-body connection,'” Bill T. Jones told the Times.
