Aeon Andreas

Aeon Wade Andreas is a gay, transexual director, choreographer, writer, performer, drag artist, and sound designer living in Brooklyn. He creates live, cinematic landscapes about sex, death, the abyss, and transexual divinity through the collision of high and low brow forms like opera and drag. His pedagogical background has roots in a lifetime of dance. Aeon spent eight years teaching movement forms at NYU Tisch’s Playwrights Downtown. He freelanced as a performer + choreographer in NY’s downtown performance scene and was a member of the dance theater company Witness Relocation (artistic director Dan Safer) before finding a home in Brooklyn’s drag and nightlife scenes. Aeon has performed around the world as an multi-award winning drag artist named GOD COMPLEX since 2018. He has performed with drag and burlesque legends like Sasha Velour, Sasha Colby, Murray Hill, Julie Atlas Muz, and Vander Von Odd. He has collaborated with theater, dance, and circus artists like Sam Pinkelton, Ani Taj, Lena Engelstein, Tyler Ashley, and Les Sept Doigts. He is a resident artist at House of Yes and a member of the sideshow-theater company The No Ring Circus. Aeon has been featured in publications like Wussy Mag, Dance Magazine, Document Journal, Them, Paper Mag, The New York Times, and Colecta Mag. He has appeared in many music videos, TV shows, and films such as The Lonely Woman, an upcoming erotic horror from electronic duo Boy Harsher, and Something You Should Know About Me–a trans rom-com that premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in June 2026. Recent directing work includes The Wreck of the Unbelievable (by Sleth) and the one-clown-show, LOLLYLAND. In April 2026, Aeon had the honor of appearing in Julio Gonzales Torres’ iconic installation Untitled (Go-Go Dancing Platform) at Hauser & Wirth Gallery. Aeon’s first full length play, GODSPUNK, will premiere at The Bushwick Starr in fall 2027. Culturebot calls Aeon “always rapturous.” Friends call them “hot and difficult.”
