The Last Mayan King

The Last Mayan King is an autobiographical work of dance-circus-theater that recounts my experiences as a young Mayan growing up in the jungle of southern Mexico, my introduction to the outside world, the dance world, and my life as an artist in the United States. Memories and dreams are fused with mythology and legend. I invite you to journey with me through moments in my life and through Mayan culture, to a dance-world where the past, future, and present are lived at the same time – a world without time. – Javier Dzul
