Ella Rosewood Dance

Ella Rosewood Dance is a New York-based dance company that thrives on performance, choreography and education. ERD has been passionately sharing movement with the community since 2009, when Ella Rosewood formed the company in Madison, WI. In January 2011, ERD relocated to New York City. The company had their first New York season at the Merce Cunningham Studio in October 2011 and have continued to show work at Newsteps through the Chen Dance Center, Dance New Amsterdam, Danspace Project at St. Mark’s Church, Green Space, the Dumbo Dance Festival, the Steps on Broadway Performance Lab, the Episcopal Actors’ Guild Yo Pro show and more. ERD has also been seen nationally in Minneapolis, MN; Madison, WI; the World Dance Alliance General Assembly; an ACDFA Gala Concert; and internationally in Taipei, Taiwan. Ella’s solo show “Second Skin: Seven Solo Dances Performed by Ella Rosewood” was the recipient of 2010 Wisconsin State grant funding from the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission and the Madison Arts Commission. The educational outreach programs ERD created and carried out in conjunction with “Second Skin” were featured in the May/June 20111 Inspiration issues of Dance Studio Life Magazine.
