MONTELEONE DANCE
Monteleone Dance is a research based dance company that presents highly conceptual multimedia dance works. The company has already received high acclaim for its innovative and idiosyncratic movement language. Through this distinctly researched vocabulary, alongside interdisciplinary collaboration, the artists investigate the beclouded realm between man and machine, organism and sterility, and the cognition in interface. The work confronts the human experience, analyzing and probing the human psyche in the context of today’s technological zeitgeist and cultural fabric. Much of the work is collaborative, using a meticulously codified movement research system and language. The Company has presented work at Dixon Place “Moving Men”, NYC10, the Norwood Club, The Chocolate Factory, Your Move Dance Festival, the Amalgamate Artist Series, Green Space, Boston University (as part of the ReVerb Echoes Tour), the Peridance APAP Showcase, The Moving Beauty Split Bill Series, Triskelion Arts, PMT Dance Studio, The Current Sessions, Baruch Performing Arts Center, as well as numerous showcases throughout the NYC/NJ area. The Company's installation work has been presented at the Alpha Art Gallery.
