Analogy/Ambros: The Emigrant, is the third and final installment of Bill T. Jones’s acclaimed Analog Trilogy. Inspired by W.G. Sebald’s celebrated novel The Emigrants, the piece tracks the story of Ambros Adelwarth, a German servant, and his glamorous travels with his charge Cosmo through Europe and the Middle East on the eve of WWI. With the dancers as vocalists, composer Nick Hallett’s score richly recalls the haunting song cycles of Franz Schubert, performed by pianist Emily Manzo and Hallett.
