Alexei Ratmansky in conversation with Cassandra Trenary (2011 YoungArts Winner in Dance)
Hailed by The New York Times as the “choreographer who leaps even higher,” Alexei Ratmansky has been changing the landscape of ballet and revitalizing the classical genre for audiences worldwide. He has been artist in residence at American Ballet Theatre in New York since 2009, and was named the MacArthur Fellow for 2013. This Critical Junctures talk coincides with New York City Ballet’s celebrated Here/Now festival, which will be premiering new work by Ratmansky —his sixth commission by the company.
