Dances By Very Young Choreographers

Culminating a year’s work with world-renowned dance educator and choreographer Ellen Robbins, each student creates his or her own dance solo, steeped in the unmistakable individualism that resides in every child. Their works span a variety of theater experiences: humorous, dramatic, lyrical, minimal, abstract. Music selections also cover a broad range from Bach to Lounge Lizards, Paart, Aparat and beyond.
Each of the three unique concerts consist of solos by the students, ages 8–18, plus an alumni trio and the following group pieces:
June 6, 2 PM
Students 11 & 12 perform Space Fantasy
Students 9 & 10 perform Garden Party
June 6, 7 PM
Students 13- 14 perform Wait!!! and Walkaround Vermeer
June 7, 3 PM
Students 6 – 7 perform The Wedding of the Mouse
Students 8-9 perform Towel Dance
Teenage Students perform Out There…
Alumni Dancers perform This Is Not a Story
Each concert includes solo works by the students and group works by Ellen Robbins.
