THE HOUSE PARTY

Five chosen families or “houses” present individually curated performance concerts on Rashid Johnson’s Red Stage, a participatory steel sculpture for collaboration, experimentation, and expression. The alarm-red sculpture is a literal and metaphorical platform for participation and contestation as we build a future within and beyond the pandemic commissioned by Creative Time.
Performing in The House Party on Astor Place will be Linda La & The Perfect Poison and guests; Asian/Pacific/Queer collective of collaborative and creative minds Bubble_T; the uplifting and innovative duo OOPS! with guest friends; RAGGA, a growing network of queer Caribbean artists and allies working across a wide range of discipline; and queer Brooklyn nightlife staple drag collective Switch n’ Play!
