I know… A Digital Ritual

Until June 20, the public is invited to upload individual videos explaining “what you know” as part of a digital ritual. Each night, a different video compilation will be screened on the Holland Festival’s website, beginning with Bill’s video tonight, June 11. A video by a Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company member will also be added to the screening in succession, each night thereafter.
These individual entries, which each begin with the words “I know…” are turned into a visual mosaic by the video artist Ruben van Leer that will grow as the festival advances and more people participate. The strong words and gestures of all these individuals—brought together in a dynamic design based on complex data visualisation techniques and a refined sound design—substantiate a larger, collective knowing.
