Culminating a year’s work with renowned dance educator and choreographer Ellen Robbins, each student creates his or her own dance solo, steeped in the unmistakable individualism that resides in every child. Their works span a variety of theater experiences: humorous, dramatic, lyrical, minimal, abstract. Music selections also cover a broad range from Beethoven to Fleetwood Mac.

Each of the three unique concerts consist of solos by the students, ages 8 – 18 as well as the following group pieces:

  • 6/7 at 2:00 pm: 8/9 years old performing Waterstudy (Ravel) and 9/10 years old performing Carnival of the Animals (Saint Saens)
  • 6/7 at 7:30 pm: 10/11 years old performing Garden Party (Schubert) and teenagers performing Palindrome (Rolf Exeler, Aparat)
  • 6/8 at 2:00 pm: 11/12 years old performing Swatch (based on the qualities of a variety of fabrics with a variety of music sections) and Ode (Thomas Albert).
