Legends of Drag: Queens of a Certain Age

Kicking off Pride month at Live Arts and setting the stage for The House Party is an exhibition in the Ford Foundation Live Gallery featuring a group of large scale photographs from the book Legends of Drag: Queens of a Certain Age (Abrams–Cernunnos, 2022), by Harry James Hanson and Devin Antheus. Portraits of drag legends from around the country will adorn the Live Arts lobby, honoring and celebrating these herstoric pioneers.
The Legends of Drag exhibition is part of Live Arts Pride 2023: The House Party on June 25th. The building-wide event features a performance and DJ set from sister Legends, grassroots double dutch workshops and queer marketplace open to the public, and individually curated performance concerts presented by Brooklyn’s fiercest young queer parties.
