Kyle Abraham, the 2013-2015 New York Live Arts Resident Commissioned Artist, is creating a four-work suite during his residency at Live Arts, set to premiere in Fall 2014. At Live Artery, he will be showing work-in-progress excerpts from When the Wolves Came In(working title), one of the works in the suite.

Live Artery is an annual event at New York Live Arts during the APAP conference, connecting dance and body-based artists, curators and presenters, Live Artery fuels a vibrant, nationwide network in support of compelling artists and ideas.

When the Wolves Came In is commissioned and produced by New York Live Arts through its Resident Commissioned Artist Program, with lead support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Additional support is provided by MAP Fund, a program of Creative Capital, and the New England Foundation for the Art's National Dance Project, both with major support from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The project is also underwritten, in part, by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, and by contributors to the Dance Theater Workshop Commissioning Fund at New York Live Arts.

When the Wolves Came In is being developed, in part, through a residency at On The Boards, Seattle with support from the National Dance Project.
