Story/ (2013), the newest addition to the Company's Play and Play programcontinues the Company's exploration of the concepts used in 2012's Story/Time. Set to Schubert's Death and the Maiden, the work employs a random menu of movement that is interpreted by the music, thus crafting a lively conversation between the quartet and the choreography. The work will be performed to live music.

In his new work Analogy (working title) for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Bill T. Jones is in pursuit of the tantalizing promise of comparisons in lives experienced privately in time and place but are shared across generations and bodies publicly. Utilizing the writing style of W.G. Sebald, the compelling stories of Ambros Adelwarth in Sebald’s The Emigrants and family member Dora Amelan, Franz Schubert lieder, modern folk songs and new music by Ted Coffey, Jones is working to create a prismatic narrative in which the dancers, décor, text and music relate memory and histories both personal and universal, disparate and analogous. This work will premiere at Montclair State University as part of the Peak Performance Series on June 18, 2015.

Live Artery is an annual event at New York Live Arts during the APAP conference, connecting dance and body-based artists, curators and presenters, Live Artery fuels a vibrant, nationwide network in support of compelling artists and ideas.
