Live Arts Pride: The House Party is a celebration of chosen family! We proudly welcome back our Queer Marketplace and the fabulous collectives Body Hack, Legends of Drag, Yas Mama!, and Double Dutch Dreamz with Malika Lee Whitney. From mind-blowing jumping rope skills to dazzling drag acts, get ready to delight in these warm and vibrant families, each with their unique voice and talents to share. The Marketplace will feature some of our favorite artisans and live DJ sets from two of New York’s fiercest divas. Read more below!

THIS YEAR’S LINE UP &  QUEER MARKETPLACE

• Legends of Drag: Queens of a Certain Age (Abrams, 2022) is a photography and queer history book celebrating 81 drag queen elders in 16 cities. Featured queens Stella D’oro, Simone & Barbara Herr will kick off performances in our theater at 2pm! Co-creators Devin Antheus will emcee and Harry James Hanson aka DJ Skirtsuit will take to the decks. The Legends deserve their flowers, and it’s a blessing to give them. 
  
  
• Double Dutch Dreamz invites all ages to “Get Your Jump On!” Join the thrills and excitement inside the arc of amazing twirling jump ropes. Poetic rhymes inspire and elevate the experience with call and response participation. Rhythmic background beats move happy feet for a joyous celebration of a very special Pride occasion.
  
  
• Body Hack is a mutual care resource and international fundraising collective for and by trans and queer people of color. They host a happy hour and afterparty for trans, non-binary cuties, and the “squirrels that love them”. Their set will feature resident DJs and organizers Cisne, ARCHANGEL, 
  Nana XOXO and a very special live performance by performance artist and singer/songwriter Arewà Basit.
  
• Yas Mama! is an all Latina collective of performers and DJs that puts on a show full of drag, music and dancing. This year’s set will feature DJ’s Ickarus and Jenn D’Role. And Performances by Horrorchata, Lady Quesa, and La Zavaleta! 
  
  
• This year’s Queer Marketplace will feature creations by local queer designers Valentine Amartey, BoiPKG, Trans Equity Consulting, Jos Hurt, Made by AO, MX Oops, Triple T-Shirts by Beau McCall and more!Dance while you shop to the sounds of DJs Dinah Fire and Charlene Incarnate alongside MX Oop’s colorful installation UnFiNiShEd aNiMaL.
