Rambler, Worlds Worlds A Part (Live Artery)

Having premiered at Live Arts in February 2019, Kathy Westwater’s reprisal of Rambler, Worlds Worlds A Part presents portions of the work developed from over twenty years of exploring pain and the body, including the pain of others. The piece contemplates the communication of one’s own pain—and its opposite, bliss. The dance artists in the work explore their personal experiences of pain and trauma in response to and in celebration of post-minimalist composer Julius Eastman’s profound music which is remounted live in this Bessie Award nominated performance.
