For the Shared Practice workshop with Ann Liv Young, Sherry will give Sherapy. Sherry is a character who is a performative therapist, created as a tool to explore and explode the performer/audience dichotomy. Sherry engages directly with her audience, whether they are a crowd of hundreds or a couple seeking relationship advice. Her directness is incisive, quickly bringing out the genuine problems and experiences of those she engages with. Sherapy uses the stagecraft of theater to enhance the healing of therapy. In the workshop, Sherry will engage with one person, as a way for the room to witness her process and her practice.
