Tennessee Rising

Tennessee Rising is a new one-man play conceived, written & performed by Jacob Storms. A dramatization of the life of Tennessee Williams from age twenty-seven to thirty-four. It is during these six formative years that the young unknown poet Thomas Lanier Williams experiences his metamorphosis into the iconic & groundbreaking playwright, Tennessee Williams. Tennessee Rising is told from young Williams’ point of view as the audience has a first row seat to seeing just how Tennessee Williams found his way in the world and in the process changed the way we look at it forever.
