New York Live Arts’ Fresh Tracks Residency & Performance program is a season-long residency for early-career movement-based artists, supporting new work creation and professional development. Selected artists receive a 60-hour studio residency and a $5,000 fee, thanks in part to a grant from the Jerome Foundation. The residency culminates in a shared evening of new work in the theater. Throughout the process, artists receive mentorship from an Artistic Advisor and participate in professional development workshops and meetings that apply learned skills directly to the production. Workshops are led by renowned professionals in the field. Selected artists also receive exclusive access to Live Arts’ Communications, Development, Production, and Programming staff, along with a Live Core Artist Membership.
