Emergence: An Artist Showcase is a choreography project designed to give emerging artists across multiple artistic disciplines the opportunity to have their work showcased. This showcase will feature music from Indie Artists in the NYC area and around the country, with the intention of bringing their original music to a larger audience. Then, choreographers will be chosen to choreograph brand new numbers to the original songs, featuring NYC dancers. The idea is that everything seen onstage during the showcase is new, and not something you might have seen taught in class or at other showcases. We will also prioritize songwriters, choreographers, and dancers who are historically underrepresented in the industry. Shatter The Glass also aims to prioritize accessibility, so we will aim to be accessible to deaf and hard of hearing audiences, blind and low vision audiences, as well as audiences and performers with physical disabilities.
The collection of work will be presented in four ticketed performances in the fall of 2026.
