About The Young Professionals Ensemble & Program
The Young Professionals Ensemble is MOVE|NYC|’s acclaimed professional youth company. Our performers hail from MOVE|NYC|’s tuition-free Young Professionals Program. The Young Professionals Program is a year-round Mentorship & College/Conservatory Prep Program for New York City teenagers, ages 13 – 18, who demonstrate exceptional potential for a career in dance. The Young Professional Ensemble creates and performs cutting edge works by established & emerging choreographers all over NYC at premier venues such as New York Live Arts, BAM, New York City Center, Little Island, BAAD, Gibney, and more.

Founded in 2015, MOVE|NYC| is a civic arts & social justice organization committed to cultivating a more diverse and inclusive society through transforming the field of professional dance. In just ten years, the organization has become an industry leader in providing mentorship, professional development, and artistic training to young dancers, with a focus on empowering dancers from populations historically underrepresented within the dance industry. By preparing young artists to succeed not only as dance professionals but as engaged, global citizens, we are priming a new generation for leadership in a rapidly changing world.
