Jack Ferver & Jeremy Jacob: Good Night, Part 1

In Part 1 of Good Night, Crystal finds themselves alone in a house that feels familiar, but soon remembers their parents are dead. Crystal is moved towards a destructive mission.

JACK FERVER is a New York based choreographer, writer, and director. Ferver’s most recent work, Nowhere Apparent, created with the artist, Jeremy Jacob, was a response to the AIDS Oral History Project at the Jerome Robbins Dance Division at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Ferver’s works have been presented presented in New York City at the New York Live Arts; New Museum; The Kitchen; The French Institute Alliance Française, as part of Crossing the Line; Abrons Arts Center; Gibney Dance, as part of American Realness; Performance Space 122; the Museum of Arts and Design, as part of Performa 11; Danspace Project; and Dixon Place. Domestically and internationally, Ferver has been presented by the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College (NY); American Dance Institute (MD); Fusebox Festival (TX); Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (IL); Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (OR); the Institute of Contemporary Art at MECA (ME); the Institute of Contemporary Art (MA); Diverse Works in collaboration with the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston (TX); BalletLab (Australia); and Théâtre de Vanves (France). JEREMY JACOB is a New York based Director and Production Designer for film, still photography, stage, and web. Short films include Dear Merce, Courting; or, An American Romance, and State of Desire. Jacob recently directed the virtual iteration of Netta Yerushalmy’s Paramodernities and co-created Nowhere Apparent with Jack Ferver in reaction to research into the AIDS Oral History Project at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Designs for screen include Jay Dockendorf’s Three Deaths and Tobias Finkelstein’s Meron. Production designs for stage include Jack Ferver’s Everything Is Imaginable and Desire. Jeremy Jacob is the producer and editor of the Dance And Stuff podcast and the creator/director of The Dance And Stuff Show.
