Women’s Stories

For three nights only, the Limón Dance Company will present Women’s Stories centralizing the female perspective and highlighting women who shaped our founder’s canon and influenced the fields of dance and art. Featuring the works of José Limón the program includes an all female cast of Orfeo, Dances for Isadora, and an excerpt from The Winged. It will also include the world premiere of Hilla Ben Ari’s reimagination of Limón’s The Moor’s Pavane. This startling new take on a classic, incorporates arresting video projections and focuses on only the female characters of Othello.
